2016: Bansberia Balika Ashram
In December 2015, we visited our Bansberia Rural Development project in India. As we were inquiring and admiring our many achievements, we were introduced to a group of beautiful little girls whose pretty but sullen faces implied some sad stories. These orphaned destitute children were surviving merely by begging, child labors and half starving. They do not go to school and thus have no future for self-sustaining survival. In 2016, Caring Hands built a safe haven house for these girls where they will be housed and nourished under supervision of a resident foster mother. Their school education will be assured leading eventually to a productive life.
