2019: Purulia Adivasi school

Sasangbeda Simra Vidyagar is a tribal residential school situated at Bandwan block of Purulia district in West Bengal, India. This is a backward area, mainly dominated by the tribal people. The school is maintained by the local tribal organisation Sasangbeda Sowahet Mader. There are 106 residential students including 62 boys and 44 girls student. The school does not have class room. The classes are held at the open ground within the school premise. There is no toilet and bathroom facility for the students. Caring Hands is partnering with Sasangbeda Sowahet Mader to successfully implement this program to help the school students to have a combined classroom (big hall) and separate bathrooms for boys and girls.
