1. Rehabilitation and education of the visually impaired
2. Access to information technology through computer training, braille transcription, shorthand and typewriting courses.
3. Vocational training & employment including self employment
4. Model School for kids 6-14.

Although OAB is the premiere non-profit for visually impaired in Odisha and is running government sanctioned vocational training programs for the blind, the residential facilities for the students and staff are in a dilapidated condition.

With this project, we plan to improve the infrastructure of Odisha Association of the Blind in Kharavela Nagar, Bhubaneswar to make it a safe, healthy, and vibrant environment for the visually impaired in Odisha to continue with their rehabilitation and vocational training that will prevent them from begging and unclean occupations and help them in their path to self-sustenance.

The proposed construction is planned in 3 phases:
1st Phase: Construction of ladies’ hostel for 30 students, improvement of class rooms, repair of toilets and kitchen.
2nd Phase: Construction of workers and staff shed.
3rd Phase: Construction of boys hostel for 30+ students and dining hall complex for all students and staff.
