Caring Hands volunteers deliver 48 personal care kits to Our Daily Bread in Sunnyvale, CA, on a biweekly basis. Our Daily Bread distributes the kits to the homeless.

What is Personal Care Kit Service?
As part of Personal Care Kit Service program, our volunteers deliver 48 personal care kits on first and third Sundays of each month to Our Daily Bread, Sunnyvale, CA. Each kit contains toiletries supply for a person for a month. Our Daily Bread, Sunnyvale, feeds lunch to homeless on MWF s throughout the year. Once a month Our Daily Bread hand out our personal care kits to the homeless.


What does each personal care kit contain?
Each personal care kit contains a toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, razor, shaving gel, lotion and hand sanitizer. Please see shopping list at https://caringhandsfoundation.org/personal-care-kit-items/ 


What shelters does Personal Care Kit Service serve?

The personal care kits are distributed to the homeless by Our Daily Bread once a month.


What is the address for drop off for personal care kits?

The address is 1646 Kennewick Drive, Sunnyvale, CA. It is residence of Donna Morris of Our Daily Bread who will distribute the kits to the homeless.


What is the overall process?
Host families sign up to host personal care kit service in their homes. They procure the items in the shopping list and pack the individual items in a ziploc bag and deliver at the address above.

Please use the shopping list provided. Student volunteers will get credit for volunteer hours. Our daily Bread will provide a receipt for the donation that can be used for tax purposes.
